Today, Jurassic World began filming at approximately 8:20am at the Honolulu Zoo in Hawaii. Many extras were on-scene to get their first taste of the sequel, which has been 65 million years in the making. In the distance, you can spot the Jurassic World logo on a few banners. In addition to the photos, producer Frank Marshall just tweeted a positive announcement, assuring followers that the first shoot (of many) went well:

So it begins. After 13 long years of waiting, life finally found a way... and Universal finally found a director worthy of continuing on our beloved Jurassic Park franchise.
