With Jurassic World continuing to film in Hawaii, some photos of set pieces continue to leak online. One of the more recent discoveries have come from a picture of a map, for the Jurassic World Lagoon, one of the main sections to the new Jurassic World theme park. Remember - in this film, there is a fully functioning park, unlike the previous installments which featured prototypes.

Below are a list of confirmed Dinosaurs and attractions which will be featured in the new park on Isla Nublar. Obviously, the following contains spoilers, so if you wish to avoid spoilers, I suggest you click away and not read any further.

Current list of Jurassic World Dinosaurs:

Tyrannosaurus Rex (obviously)

That's right, the Tyrant King is back. In Jurassic World the Rex(es) will be housed in a location called the "T-Rex Kingdom" according to the map discovered on-set. We also know that at least one T-Rex will be used by Chris Pratt's character, as a means to combat a more formidable enemy - the Diabolus Rex which we announced earlier this week

Velociraptors

Let's face it, you can't have a Jurassic Park movie without Raptors. They go hand-in-hand with the Rex. Yes, the Velociraptors will make a return in Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World and like at least one of the Rexes, a group of them will be trained by Chris Pratt's character. However, readers should not jump to conclusions and think these Raptors will be playing fetch with any of the locals - no, these Raptors will be trained to respond to certain cues or calls, as if their pack leader were issuing an order. It's a similar mentality, and one that will prove to be crucial later on in the film.

Triceratops

Yeah, like that one - only less sick. The Triceratops in Jurassic World will be housed in an enclosure known as "Triceratops Territory". Just because these ceratopsids are herbivores, doesn't mean they can't cause trouble. Just look at what happened when they broke free in The Lost World...

Gallimimus

Yes, the Galli...Galli...Gallimimus will be returning also! T-rex doesn't want to be fed, it wants to hunt, remember? The Gallimimus will have a wide range to run around in as spectators admire how they move like a flock of birds, in the "Gallimimus Valley".

Pachycephalosaurus

Friar Tuck will also be making a comeback in Jurassic World! The hard-hitting Pachycephalosaurus will be featured in an enclosure known as the "Pachy Arena". The name speaks for itself.

Mosasaurus

A new addition to the park, is Mosasaurus - a predatory marine reptile from the Cretaceous period which ressembled more of a flippered Crocodile, only much larger. The Mosasaurus will be featured in its own attraction, located at the "Mosasaurus Feeding Show", again a title which speaks for itself.

Diabolus Rex

No Picture Available

The Diabolus Rex is a new and terrifying creature. It is literally mankind's arrogance and blatant disrespect for nature personified. This genetic abomination is a T-Rex spliced with the DNA from a Velociraptor, Snake and Cuttlefish; giving this new super predator the means to camouflage with its surroundings, be as destructive as a fully grown Tyrannosaurus Rex and as stealthy and cunning as a Raptor. The Diabolus Rex, or "D-Rex" for short, is the primary antagonist throughout the film and will prove to be more than a match for both Man... and Dinosaur.

Other Jurassic World attractions include: "Cretaceous Cruise", "Innovation Centre", "Creation Lab", "Underwater Observatory", "The Aviary", "The Egg Spinner", "Bamboo Forest", "Gentle Giants Petting Zoo", "Botanical Gardens", "Gyrosphere", "Water Park" and of course, a Golf Course.

Transportation will include buggies, jeeps, a Gondola Lift and a Monorail.

It doesn't say D-Rex because I presume that they learn that this animal is far to dangerous to show to vistors never mind horrifying!

Something Real

MemberTyrannosaurus RexMay-24-2014 2:37 AMThis is quite fascinating! I'm still extremely uncertain of what to think of the D-Rex, however, I'm excited to see all of the other dinosaurs and aquatic reptiles in the park! :)

The map looks like a pretty convincing park to me, thats similar to how imagine it would be if ever it were created

I hope we see more dinosaurs that were never introduced to the franchise.

@Cem on the map it doesn't show raptors as well, but we know they're still in the movie.

As for the T-rex kingdom, I thought it was going to be more like a kids play area or something, because take a look at it.  It's fairly small, and placed right next to the visitors center.  It is also color coded under "rides/attractions."  I could be wrong, I was listening to the Jurassic World podcast and they were talking about it in that way, and it made sense (here's the link).  Anyway, I'm excited, these new maps look promising!

You forgt the Aviary. I think it means some form of pterosaur, likely Pteranodon,  is in the movie. And, whatever is in the gentle giants petting zoo.

I like the sound of the Mososaurus. I wonder how it will be executed, maybe like those Orca shows gone wrong, exept you have a giant killer Dinosaur on your hands.

I also noticed a DILOPHOSAURUS skull in the top left corner. The logo is purple. At least Dilo is hopefully getting a comeback.

Look at the first picture of the lagoon in the top left theirs a purple area that has (what I think looks like) a Dilophosaurus skull. Also it looks like some if the map key had been cut off so it's possible that Diliphosaurus is their.

Well the fact that the D. rex is not mentioned on the list is interesting. This could mean it was a genetic mistake, was to dangerous for public display, or and this is probably not true, a bio-weapon for military use. Still I am kind of hopeing the D. rex is a cover for something a bit more realistic as some movies mislead viewers with false info to make the movie seem better when you go and see it, though I doubt that is happening here.

@JP Carnotaur

click over to legacy to see the full run of pictures. That's a Trex logo, of which there are many scattereted all over the map, obviously not indicating anything specific. But the purple area is TRex Kingdom...which is either some kind of attraction near the visitors center, or...and hopefully not....literally the Trex enclosure which they chose to place right next to the visitors center, to keep them on display.

Who can explain me how a mosquito drinks the blood of an underwater reptile like the Mosasaurus?

kachynus

MemberCompsognathusMay-26-2014 7:26 AM

I think that all seems very interesting...The D-Rex creature could be something new and curious to see, same for the trained raptors. I want to see more dinosaurs as possible, the Mosaurus is a great creature, even thou as Shinji78 said, how did that old mosquito take blood from that reptile?Well,it's somewhat stupid that they created hundreds of species of dinos from an only one mosquito, how much blood must it have drinken? It's just a film!

Cool! I`m really excited to see this all come together! Me, I`m really optimistic about what they're going to do with this park and not gonna compare EVERYTHING to the original JP. The only thing I'm dissapointed on is the name. Jurassic World? Is this the name of the park?? It seems too much of a rip off of the first park. For pete sakes call it JURASSIC PARK. So if they come out with more sequels, will it be: Jurassic world 2? this is my only concern. Other than that I wish they would've had a megalodon over a Mosaurus.... it would've been way more BAD ASS

I believe that having a Triceratops, one of my favorite dinosaurs, is a good idea. However, I also hope that the director of the film also adds my other favorite dinosaur, Spinosaurus, sonce he's an important member of the dinosaur kingdom. Have the exhibit called "Spinosaurus Bastion" and it will at least make me happy. Diplodicus and Brachiosaurus are also important and I suggest making their own exhibit called "Sauropod Watch". As for Carnotaurus, Arcocanthosaurus, Dilphosaurus, Stegosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Parasauropholous, Corythosaurus, Iguanodon, Ceratosaurus, Quetzacoatylus, Styracosaurus, and even Baryonyx, I would say they should be given minor exhibits. It would also be quite cool if Jurassic Park added the Giant Ground Sloth (Megatherium americanium) into the film, since it may be more interesting having a prehistoric mammal from the pleistocene be placed in a park full of dinosaurs.

Here's what the giant sloth looks like:

MemberCompsognathusMay-26-2014 5:03 PMFuck it throw in Gremlins and Theodore Rex this movie is beginning to sound D.O.A! Based on the rumours this will either be schlock or the best movie ever made! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oX68J0oxQAE&feature=youtu.be

With all the leaks put together I'm starting to think this movie will show dinosaurs as good or bad monsters rather than animals.

Peter Zanetti

MemberCompsognathusMay-27-2014 8:29 AM

@Shinji78 said "Who can explain me how a mosquito drinks the blood of an underwater reptile like the Mosasaurus?"

Who can explain to me how it makes any difference? The mosquito-amber-dna concept isn't realistic anyway, so why does it matter?

You can get just as much DNA from fossilized remains by grinding the bones into a fine powder and extracting from that. Perhaps that is their story.

Ughhh, I hate the phrase "trained raptors!"  Even if the dinos aren't playing fetch (that would be horrible), it annoys me that man is controlling nature in this way.  Continuity-wise, a creature "smarter than a primate" would not allow itself to be trained.  Pack coordination and killing should be exclusive to the raptors, not to some human trainer.

I'm skeptical about the D-Rex. What is the source? Anyone could've made that up. I was thinking that the new dinosaur could be Carnotaurus or Allosaurus. The paleontologist for the JP franchise said this dinosaur has never been in the movies before and will make you "sleep with the lights on." As in the novel TLW, the carnotaurus is the wild card, and can camouflage very well before ambushing prey. I still have hopes that D-Rex is not true and that it will be Carnotaurus or allosaurus. The qurantine enclosure isn't even electrified. How could it hold  a mega  t-Rex when it's too small and unlectrified for a regular Rex? Furthermore, the scratch marks on the wall are in threes. Allosaurus had three claws, T-Rex had two (I know it's supposed to be a hybrid with a raptor so my claim is not 100% sound).

The map looks awesome. I'm guessing there will be more dinosaurs on the tours than just the ones listed on the map. The " botanical gardens" could be the name of a segment of the tour that contains herbivores in lush, primeval foliage. I also hope that the "Cretaceous cruise" will feature animals from the period. based on the concept art, the place is huge with many tracks. It seems too big to only house mosasaurs, rexs, gallis, pachys, raptors, pterosaurs, and triceratops. I'm sure there will be saurapoda, hadrosaurs, and hopefully other carnivores.

@ Dilo

It's been confirmed already... However, this is actually a rather Interesting Idea, I've a head cannon on it if you don't mind spoilers in the following Disscusion.

http://www.jurassicworld-movie.com/community/forums/topic/35168

As much as you want Story Cannon from the book in the movie, It makes it harder to cater to the audience, Remember the main Population of Film go-ers, Don't usually read the books, It's a new generation of Movie go-ers too, Thus they need to keep it fresh.

However, D-Rex does barrow some traits from the Chamelon Like Dinos in TLW, But not all... Do read the Above disscusion to learn the Very Possible Head cannon of it.

It's most likely Nocturnal, Hence the Snake DNA, (Some can see in infered). Which is what makes it dangerous. It's a fairly big Creature, Smaller then a rex, But Still fairly big. Three claws was Inherited from the raptor.

It was an Accident D-rex, Thats why it ain't on the tour.

"Thanks to an anonymous source, we've been exclusively leaked information on a few of Jurassic World's plot details as well as the official name of the terrifying new Dinosaur which we'll see in the film next summer!"

The source is anonymous. where did this info come from? I don't believe anything until it's confirmed from Universal, Jack, film crew, or cast. I'm sure you all are not lying; perhaps you've come across a source I haven't. But everywhere I read, it says the source is anonymous.

MemberCompsognathusMay-29-2014 9:15 PMNow is it explained if these are animals still on the island from Jurassic Park or are they brought over from isla sorna like they originally were and is there still unauthorized breeding and it all being done on site B again? Just some things that raise questions for me

I have to agree with JP Carnotaur, it would be nice to seee Dilophosaurus again, since we haven't seen one since the origional JP.

I am very happy about the appearance of the Mosasaurus.

We have not had any maine animals yet and I know that the only movies that ever got me scared were those with giant sharks. So yeah, if this Mosasurus is on the loose, it will be good.
