Tyrannotitan vs. Acrocanthosaurus

Tyrannotitan Chubutensis

They are built a lot more robust than other Carcharodontosaurs and because of that they are about the same weight as some larger ones like Carcharodontosaurus even though they are not as long. Their teeth are also more Tyrannosaur-like than Carcharodontosaurian. Their jaws are also stronger and more robust than those of other Carcharodontosaurs, but they still have the basic form of Carcharodontosaur jaws. The proportions also resemble those of Carcharodontosaurs, but it's arms combine the power and the three digits of Carcharodontosaurs and the size of Tyrannosaur arms. Dr. Wu is one of the scientists that think that Tyrannotitan is in fact a Tyrannosaurid, but most of the other scientists disagree. They usually hunt in packs to bring down large Sauropods.

Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis

Location: North America

Except for the large neural spines they are just your average Carcharodontosaur. Long jaws, thin and sharply serrated teeth, large and muscular arms and rather light-weight when compared to similarly sized Tyrannosaurs, but very robust when compared to similarly sized Spinosaurs. Females have a very small, almost non-existent, sail while the males have a very high sail in which they can pump blood to color it red and the usually light-brown stripes across their sail appear in a bright yellow. Due to their relatively light build they can avoid the tails of sauropods rather easily, but when they do get hit they are often either crippled to the point where they can't hunt anymore or dead.

Fight!

An old male Tyrannotitan is standing in a dense forest. He is not moving at all. He has a bite wound on his chest, probably another Tyrannotitan that challenged him fot the alpha title in his former pack. The Tyrannotitan is looking at a herd of Diplodocus, these large animals are very long, but only about 15 tons in weight. He can see a sub adult with a limp, it is bleeding heavily. The wound seems rather fresh. The Tyrannotitan is debating with himself if he should go for the Diplodocus now or wait until it dies of bloodloss. 

When the sub adult Diplodocus walks away from his herd to quench his thirst it is decided. The Tyrannotitan rushes out of the tree line towards the Diplodocus, roaring all the way. The young Diplodocus is paralyzed in fear and before he knew what hit him, he was lying on the ground with the Tyrannotitan on top of him. 

The Tyrannotitan crushed one of it's legs with his foot and bit the neck of the squealing Sauropod. it didn't take long until the Squealing stopped. The herd was already long gone, they had already abandoned the sub adult when they saw the Tyrannotitan for the first time.

The Tyrannotitan ripped a chunk of flesh out of the Diplodocus' body and swallowed it whole. He was about to eat another chunk, but then he could sense something. He sniffed the air, then he turned around, just in time to avoid the charge of an angry female Acrocanthosaurus.

It seems that the Acrocanthosaurus had wounded the Diplodocus and was waiting for it to bleed out. So she was obviously very angry when the Tyrannotitan stole her guaranteed kill. The two opponents roared at each other, then they sized each other up. The Tyrannotitan was larger, but the Acrocanthosaurus was following that Diplodocus for many days and was almost starving, so he was desperate enough to still challenge the Tyrannotitan.

They backed away and were getting ready for a match. They both charged at the same time and rammed each other at full force. Then they had a shoving match. The Tyrannotitan was able to overpower her and pushed her away. She was slightly dazed, but still managed to lower her body and then smashed her entire body into him from below. She slightly raised him from the gound and then she let him fall.

She lunged at his soft belly, but the Tyrannotitan placed his foot on her head, she was too heavy for him to kick away but he could keep her head out of range with is leg. While she was distracted, he used his other foot to forcefully kick her chest. She backed away with many fractured ribs. The Tyrannotitan stood up, he wasn't injured as heavily as the Acrocanthosaurus, but he was already fairly old so he had just as much trouble breathing as she had.

She unsteadily stood up and grabbed the Tyrannotitan's neck in her jaws. What she didn't realise was that he had knocked out her longest teeth when he slammed her with his tail. She wasn't able to kill him in time and he shook around and free'd himself. She tried biting him again, but before she could do so he smashed his head against her's.

 Then he followed through by biting her neck. He missed slightly and bit her sail. He ripped a large part of it out and then bit the same spot. It took him a while until he realised that he was biting her back and not her neck. She also knew that and was expecting him to reposition himself and wanted to try and escape while he was doing that. The Tyrannotitan already knew that that was her plan.

So in stead of repositioning himself, he dragged his jaws from her back to her neck. During that process both were screeching out of pain, the Acrocanthosaurus because her back was being ripped apart  and the Tyrannotitan because her broken neural spines were deeply puncturing his snout. But while doing so he also severly damaged her spinal cord and basically ripped it in two pieces at the thinnest part.

They were standing like that for about ten minutes, the Tyrannotitan had a shock from the pain and couldn't release her lifeless body out of his grip. It took him a while, but he finally moved again and released her dead body. he took three steps and then instantly collapsed. Two days later he woke up as a small Dromeasaurus was trying to rip off a small piece of his thigh. He stood up and roared at the scared dinosaur, which instsntly made a run for it. The Tyrannotitan was heavily injured, but he was going to survive. He looked at the sky and roared as loud as he could.

Winner: Tyrannotitan Chubutensis
